Poppies Cafe Dun Laoghaire
Way back in September 1982, 'Poppies Tea Rooms' opened for business and legend has it they chose the name Poppies after the founders visited poppies cottages in Bali.
Since then the business has gone from strength to strength, winning awards and getting rave reviews in tour guides, newspapers and is the number one destination on tripadvisor.
In 2007, Poppies opened in Georges Street DunLaoghaire, replicating the same healthy wholesome country cooking theme, and great service.
Every year in spring, 'Poppies Day' takes place, where all of the sales for drinks on a given Saturday get donated to the National Children's Hospital, as Peter has three healthy happy kids, he feels its good karma to help the less fortunate ones.
