Olivers Seafood Restaurant
Review
Steps from the Inishbofin Ferry Terminal, Oliver’s Seafood Restaurant is a love letter to the Atlantic. Owned by the same family who run the ferry, they know these waters intimately, freshness and seasonality are in their DNA. Menus are shaped by the day’s catch: silky chowder, briny oysters, gleaming mackerel, and perfectly cooked lobster or turbot when the boats come good. Staff are warm, switched-on, and happy to steer you toward the best of what’s landed, with smart wine and local beer pairings. The room looks onto Cleggan harbour, adding salt-air theatre to every plate. Prices are fair for the quality, portions are generous, and the provenance is impeccable. For straight-from-the-sea flavour and genuine hospitality, Oliver’s is hard to beat. Book ahead during busy summer evenings.
