O’Donohue’s Pub
Review
In County Clare, where cliffs meet the Burren and stories travel faster than the wind, O’Donohues in Fanore keeps the county’s hospitality tradition gloriously alive. This is not a polished, manufactured pub experience; it is the real thing. Weathered walls, warm welcomes, and a timeless charm make every visit feel like a lucky discovery. Settle in with a bowl of fresh local mussels, a perfectly poured Guinness, and the Atlantic never far from your thoughts. Then, as if by magic, a fiddle strikes up, a bodhrán answers, and the whole room lifts. O’Donohues is rustic, authentic, and full of heart. Places like this are rare now, and once you step inside, leaving feels almost impossible for hours afterwards and beyond. Definitely one for your itinerary!

Tucked into the heart of the Burren, the Ailwee Burren Experience is far more than just its world-famous caves. Just nine years after welcoming their first visitors underground, the team opened a farm shop and began crafting the award winning Burren Gold Cheese. Working closely with a local farmer,
