Eating Out

O'Grady's on the Pier is located just a few metres from a sandy beach in the village of Barna, 6 kilometers from Galway's city centre. Our two-floor restaurant offers some of the best views of Galway Bay and an atmosphere that enhances any dining experience.

Since opening in 2000, we have established ourselves as one of the finest Irish seafood restaurants. Being so close to the sea, we have instant access to daily catches, bringing unbeatable freshness to every dish served to our customers.

Our dishes exhibit great attention to detail, always utilising the best seasonal produce. Apart from our specialities of seafood and fish, we also have a variety of other options for meat-lovers and vegetarians.

With such a prime location, O'Grady's on the Pier is ideal for every occasion, from family lunches to romantic dinners. We can also cater for groups of up to 60 people, offering the perfect setting for special celebrations such as small weddings or business functions.

O'Grady's on the Pier has been the lucky recipient of numerous awards over the years. Among these are the “Best Seafood Experience 2011”, adjudged by the Restaurant Association of Ireland and the prestigious Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Award for "Best Bistro & Brasseries" in 2009. We were also delighted to accept the "Best Seafood Restaurant in Ireland" 2008 award from Georgina Campbell.
