Newforge House
Welcome to Newforge House, winner of numerous awards and proud member of Ireland's Blue Book and Historic Hotels of Europe.
Our Georgian Country House, built c. 1785, has been handed down for six generations. We undertook two years of extensive renovations before opening Newforge House to guests in May 2005.
In converting the family home we have undertaken sensitive restoration works to seamlessly blend original period features and antiques with contemporary luxuries and facilities.
Our six individually designed double bedrooms offer lavish en-suite accommodation, while our cosy drawing room, with comfy sofas, reading chairs, books and an open log fire, is the perfect place to relax. And our mature gardens with 40 acres of surrounding grassland provide ample walking for those wishing to work up an appetite before enjoying a seasonal 3-Course dinner.
We want each guest to feel very much at home and food is an important part of our welcome. Our dinner menu changes daily to make the best use of vegetables from our own kitchen garden and other locally sourced, seasonal ingredients including organic dairy produce and free-range meats.
We hope to welcome you to Newforge soon.
