Moran's Oyster Cottage Seafood Restaurant Galway, The Weir, Kilcolgan, Co. Galway, is a traditional thatched cottage that dates back over 250 years. Today Morans is run by Catherine Moran, the 7th generation of the Moran family in the business. It is renowned the world over for it's superb seafood and Galway oysters which attracts people from the five continents, and is open all year round.
In the 1800′s it did a flourishing trade when the Weir was a prosperous little port. Today, thanks to the tremendous upsurge of interest in Seafood, Moran's is a must for anybody with an interest in sampling the crustaceous delights of Galway Bay.
The Weir, Kilcolgan, Co Galway. It is situated 10 miles south of Galway city on the N6 which is the Limerick road (approximately 3 minutes from the village of Clarenbridge).
