Mocha Beans Newcastle Coffee Shop
Review
Mocha Beans in Galway, owned by Mr. Cathal Keogh, once an 11 shop business, it proudly boasts and advertises itself as an Irish-owned and operated café, coffee producer, and B&B, in business in Ireland for the past 28 years. Unfortunately, behind the patriotic boasting, branding and friendly facade lies a troubling tale of dishonesty and unprofessionalism. Having agreed to be endorsed in my latest edition of the Top 100 Attractions on the Island of Ireland book, along with its supporting website, and app, Mr. Keogh commissioned and signed off on a complete design package, only to later refuse payment, citing that he was sadly closing down the business.
However, after further investigation and speaking with other businesses locally, it became horrifyingly clear that this claim was entirely false. Mocha Beans continues to trade as normal, serving coffee and taking bookings. This kind of blatant dishonesty is not just disappointing, it’s disgraceful. If Mr Cathal Keogh is willing to mislead a fellow small business that was endorsing him, what confidence can customers have when handing over deposits for accommodation or bookings? It is my opinion that your money will not be safe with someone whom runs his business in this way.
Be warned: integrity matters in business, and sadly, it’s in short supply here. Give this business a wide berth.
