Miaitalia
‘Miaitalia’ as it is today, has been a work in progress since owner David was in his teens. David’s grandmother, Gina, was born and lived in Tuscany, Italy, until she was in her early twenties - before she moved to Kendal after the Second World War to work in her Auntie’s cafe, ‘Tognarelli’s’ on Finkle Street. Albeit in a modern, contemporary dining space, miaItalia is in part a tribute to David’s Italian heritage. In the Summer of 2014, David and Katy added a new outdoor dining area to the existing building. ‘The Terrace’ increased the seating capacity of their pizzeria from 50 to 74, and giving customers the chance to enjoy Mediterranean-style dining whatever the weather (well, almost!) Award-winning pizza in a warm and welcoming environment, for the enjoyment of all.
