Lydon’s of Knockdoe is a real East Galway treasure, just a short drive from Claregalway. This iconic pub has a rich heritage, having been in the Lydon family for over 50 years. Now under the stewardship of Aidan, who has strong ties to the region, the tradition of warm hospitality and great food proudly continues. The menu offers a perfect mix of traditional Irish favourites alongside a few creative surprises that keep things interesting. The atmosphere is just what you’d hope for in a classic country pub. Saturday nights come alive with live music, drawing in a great crowd, so get there early if you want a seat! All in all, Lydon’s is a must-visit spot that honours its past while confidently stepping into the future.
