Kelburn Castle & Country Estate
Welcome to Kelburn Castle And Country Centre. One of Scotland’s most beautiful woodlands combined with one of its most interesting castles. Based around a 13th Century castle that’s had an amazing makeover courtesy of a team of Brazilian artists, the estate features dramatic walks, breathtaking gardens and many features of historical interest. One of Kelburn’s most outstanding features is its glen. The Kelburn Glen with its waterfalls and deep gorges is regarded as one of Scotland’s most beautiful woodlands and leads to spectacular views over the islands of the Firth of Clyde. And, there’s always something to keep the kids occupied at Kelburn. Their most popular attraction is the Secret Forest, a complex of woodland paths and raised walkways with surprises at every turn, including our Giant’s Castle and the Fairy Village. There’s also the Adventure Park and our Playbarn.
Review
Having visited many country estates, historic homes and castles all over the British Isles, I thought I may just of seen it all, until I visited a Kelburn Castle and Country Estate that is, situated on the beautiful Ayrshire coast. Home to Lord Glasgow, Patrick Boyle as he is known to his peers, friends and family and having met many lords and ladies in my time writing these books, I have never met someone as nice and as humble as Lord Glasgow and his genuine love for making sure all of his visitors are being looked after during their visit to his attraction, was made all the more apparent on the day of our meeting. Kelburn Castle and Estate is many things to many people, but what it is, is a place where families can just be families. A place where history, adventure and fun all meet at one point and with far too many things to talk about, I cannot do that in just 170 Words, so go and explore for yourselves.
