K2 Alpacas, located in the heart of Wicklow, is undoubtedly one of the finest alpaca experiences I’ve encountered across the UK and Ireland. Having visited numerous alpaca and llama trekking centres over the years, I can confidently say that K2 stands out as a leader in the field. With a significantly larger herd, easily five times the size of most other sites, it offers an unmatched, immersive experience. What truly sets K2 apart is the passion and dedication of its owner, Joe Phelan, who transformed his retirement dream into a thriving haven for alpacas. His knowledgeable and friendly team elevate the experience, making every visit unforgettable. Beyond trekking, the onsite shop offers an impressive array of alpaca-themed products, and the top-notch accommodation ensures a luxurious stay. While all the alpaca centres I’ve endorsed are worth visiting, K2 Alpacas takes it to the next level, making it an absolute must-visit destination.
