Joseph Benjamin
Our bustling little restaurant can be found nestled against Chester’s famous city walls on Northgate Street, and is a two minute stroll from Storyhouse, the city’s brilliant theatre, library, cinema and arts centre. My chef-brother Joe and I launched Joseph Benjamin in 2006 and it started life as a tiny 14 cover restaurant-café-delicatessen. Space for a few more seats was added in 2009 when neighbouring premises became vacant. The operation has evolved, brilliant people have joined the team, but a love of warm hospitality, good food and drink – prepared simply and honestly – remains the backbone of the business.Joseph Benjamin has been lucky enough to be awarded a Michelin Guide ‘Bib Gourmand’ each year since 2012.
