The food is undoubtedly a highlight, with people travelling from far and wide to savour the hearty, home-cooked meals. The pub is immaculately run, and the owners have clearly perfected their craft, ensuring every aspect, from the kitchen to the service, is absolutely top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and embody the highest standards, making you feel right at home. Though steeped in traditional charm, Johnny Murphy’s offers a contemporary touch, welcoming guests from all walks of life. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit spot on the border of counties Armagh and Down, and one of the finest pubs in Ireland that I have visited so far.
