Inveraray Castle
Review
Inverary Castle, home of the Clan Campbell, in Argyll is an awe-inspiring ancient turreted castle of generous proportions set in elegant formal gardens with exquisite azaleas and rhododendrons. A visit to Inverary Castle is multi-faceted as you would want to undertake a tour of this castle with its magnificent French-inspired interior and breathtaking Armoury Hall, wander through the beautiful, expansive grounds and linger in the impressive gardens, after which you may want to browse through the shop and then enjoy scrumptious light refreshments in the traditional tearoom with its high, vaulted ceilings. The estate moreover offers Highland stalking and shooting events and opportunities for walking. One could also stay in one of the estate’s lovely holiday houses during an extended break or relax casually in the caravan park directly on the shore of Loch Fyne.
