There is something wonderfully cinematic about arriving at Hillbark Hotel & Spa, hidden away in the heart of the Wirral Peninsula. Family owned by Craig and Lisa Baker now for more than two decades, this country house feels both grand and extremely personal. Its seventeen fabulous bedrooms, from elegant classic doubles to indulgent suites and junior suites, have each been created with romance in mind. Dinner in the hotel’s two AA Rosette restaurant brings another layer of occasion, while the spa offers the perfect excuse to slow down together. Hillbark is polished without feeling pretentious, luxurious without losing its warmth, and every corner seems designed for truly memorable romantic moments. It is also a breathtaking wedding venue, where the setting does much of the storytelling.
