Hidden Valley Yurts
Hidden Valley Yurts is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our 80 acre valley is a stunning mix of species rich wild flower meadows, ancient woodland and coppiced hazel which provides a habitat for a wide diversity of wildlife. Dormice, badgers and foxes share the land with our alpacas. Rare butterflies, birds and insects abound and the gently babbling brook which runs through the valley attracts kingfishers, herons and dippers.. Our 5 real Mongolian yurts are located in a beautiful, South facing wildflower meadow alongside a stream. With a large, communal kitchen, bathroom, dining tent, the site can accommodate up to 31 people in total and provide an ideal venue for both individual families or for friends and family groups to book the whole site. Tthe natural simplicity of a camping holiday with nature on your (Mongolian) doorstep but without having to pitch your tent. The felt lined yurts have wood burning stoves so are warm and cosy, whatever the weather.
Review
Within this latest edition of the Top 100 Attractions in Wales book, I really had to up my game when it came to the new additions of hidden gem attractions. I truly sense that with the inclusion of Hidden Valley Yurts, I have more than upped my game. The sites new owners Mike and his partner really have taken this site to a whole new level and it was clear to see that no expense has been spared here in achieving that. For those visiting the area of the Wye Valley & Vale of Usk, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing which attractions to visit within a forty to fifty mile radius, as there is so much to see and do. But being located at Hidden Valley Yurts, you can just stay here and get away from it all, it's just that sort of place. Nestled within some of the most beautiful Monmouthshire countryside, Hidden Valley Yurts really does make our new title of ‘Same Country Different World' ever more real.
