There’s no rushing & no rules. Just good food, great company & plenty of time to settle in.

Our brunch menu brings together Southern-inspired favourites, twists on classics and a few brand-new showstoppers, with plenty to choose from whatever you fancy. Pair your plate with a freshly brewed Cup of Joe, an iced coffee or a refreshing glass of sweet tea, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good start to the day.

So, take your time, round up your favourite people and brunch the Hickory’s way.

Inspired by neighbourhood joints, BBQ shacks and roadside spots discovered on road trips across the Southern States, the new menu offers plenty of choice for a lunchtime catch-up, date, business meeting or quick pit stop.

With Southern-inspired favourites, BBQ dishes, lighter options & refreshing drinks, there’s something to suit every kind of lunch break.

So, whether you’re stepping away from the office or making an afternoon of it, pull up a chair and enjoy a taste of the Deep South.

A Taste of the South

Authenticity is absolutely key for us and that starts with our smokers. Anything good is worth waiting for, right? Our ‘Ole Hickory’ Smokers from Missouri & our ‘Southern Pride’ smokers from Tennessee are set right into the heart of our restaurants.

Our Smokehouse selection is cooked low ‘n’ slow, bringing out deep, authentic flavours inspired by the American South.

It takes more than a smoker to make our meat fall-off the-bone tender though. It’s the skill and passion of our pitmasters who have all been trained in the art of barbecue. At Hickory’s we have a saying... “Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear aprons.” And our pitmasters are our heroes.

Our Smokehouse menu celebrates exactly this. Think BBQ trays made for sharing, platters for when you want a bit of everything, and traditional authentic stapes you’d find at any Smokehouse in the states.

Not in the mood for smoked? No problem. With a wider choice of dishes, there’s something for everyone to get stuck into with families & friends and for those “I can’t decide” kind of moments.

Whether it’s after-work drinks, pre-dinner cocktails or a laid-back catch-up with friends, our neighbourhood bar is the perfect place to settle in and sip awhile.

From homemade sodas & hard shakes to frozen favourites, signature cocktails & Southern inspired spritzes, there’s plenty behind the bar to keep things interesting. You’ll also find ice-cold beers, including our very own Hickory’s Pale Ale, a full selection of spirits and 25+ bourbons collected on our travels across the States.

Whatever you’re sippin’, pull up a chair, settle in & raise a glass.

Thank Hicks It’s Friday

What better way to celebrate the end of the week & say "Thank Hicks it's Friday" than listening to the sounds of the Deep South with a drink (or two) in hand!

Think £6 cocktails mixed to perfection, a pint of Driftaway IPA for just £4, a glass of wine for only £5, and the ultimate Southern classic non-alcoholic for a sweet £3.

Little guests are a big deal at Hickory’s. Our children’s menu is designed with families in mind, offering a balanced mix of familiar favourites, lighter choices & fun treats – perfect for small (or big) appetites. With family-friendly spaces to keep them entertained, including our movie room and Fro-Co station… it’s a win for the grown-ups too.

Southport will always hold a special place in my heart, as it is the town where I grew up and first dreamed of travelling to America. Back then, I would have loved somewhere like Hickory’s Smokehouse on my doorstep. Today, visitors and locals can enjoy those bold Southern flavours right here in Kew, only a few miles from world famous Lord Street and Southport’s promenade. From slow-cooked meats and smoky barbecue favourites to generous portions and warm hospitality, Hickory’s delivers an experience that feels both authentic and great value. The atmosphere is lively, the service friendly, and the food satisfying. Southport has welcomed Hickory’s with open arms, and rightly so. For me, it is now one of the town’s essential dining stops.
