Brunch has got to be the most fun and certainly the most sociable meal of the day!

There are few things more enjoyable than a long leisurely meal eating great food with your favourite people. The Americans seem to understand this more than most, & the South make it a real event.

Our brunch menu has something for everyone, from Southern favourites to twists on classics, plus a couple of stacked showstoppers. Paired with a freshly brewed ‘Cup of Joe’, iced coffees or sweet teas, start your day the Hickory’s way!

A Taste of the South

Authenticity is absolutely key for us and that starts with our smokers. Anything good is worth waiting for, right? Our ‘Ole Hickory’ Smokers from Missouri & our ‘Southern Pride’ smokers from Tennessee are set right into the heart of our restaurants.

Our Smokehouse selection is cooked low ‘n’ slow, bringing out deep, authentic flavours inspired by the American South.

It takes more than a smoker to make our meat fall-off the-bone tender though. It’s the skill & passion of our pitmasters who have all been trained in the art of barbecue. At Hickory’s we have a saying... “Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear aprons.” And our pitmasters are our heroes.

Our Smokehouse menu celebrates exactly this. Think BBQ trays made for sharing, platters for when you want a bit of everything, and traditional authentic stapes you’d find at any Smokehouse in the states.

Not in the mood for smoked? No problem. With a wider choice of dishes, there’s something for everyone to get stuck into with families & friends and for those “I can’t decide” kind of moments.

And whatever you do… don’t skip over the appetisers & desserts. Trust us, they’re worth saving room for!

Whether it’s after-work drinks, pre-dinner cocktails or just a laid-back sip, our neighbourhood bar is the place to be.

From homemade sodas & hard shakes to frozen & signature cocktails, Southern-inspired spritz’ and a full spirit selection. We’ve also got a range of ice-cold beers and over 25 bourbons we’ve collected on our trips across the states!

Whatever you’re sipping, our bar team is ready to craft your perfect pour.

Thank Hicks It’s Friday

What better way to celebrate the end of the week & say "Thank Hicks it's Friday" than listening to the sounds of the Deep South with a drink (or two) in hand!

Enjoy expertly crafted £6 cocktails, a crisp pint of Driftaway IPA for just £4, beautifully poured glasses of wine for £5, and a classic American non-alcoholic favourite for a sweet £3.

Little guests are a big deal at Hickory’s. Our children’s menu is designed with families in mind, offering a balanced mix of familiar favourites, lighter choices & fun treats – perfect for smaller appetites. With family-friendly spaces to keep them entertained, including our movie room and Fro-Co station, it’s a win for grown-ups too.

Chester isn’t short of excellent places to eat, yet for me, Hickory’s Smokehouse remains one of the city’s standouts. Perfectly positioned beside the River Dee, its setting adds something special before the food even arrives. On a warm day, sitting outside with the water nearby, it is easy to imagine yourself somewhere along the Louisiana bayou. The menu is packed with bold, smoky flavours, generous portions and the kind of comforting American-inspired dishes that make choosing just one favourite almost impossible. The atmosphere is lively, relaxed and welcoming, while the team keep everything running with friendliness. Whether you are visiting Chester for the day or staying longer, Hickory’s deserves a place on your itinerary. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
