Hawick Museum
Review
Nestled perfectly within a local park here in Hawick, sits the oldest museum within the Scottish Borders. Hawick Museum is housed within an 18th century mansion and this just adds to the charm in my opinion and I cannot think of a more befitting location to house such a great collection. As well as the Jim Clark Exhibition in Duns, here at this museum, they concentrate on two other motorsport greats, motorcyclists, Jimmie Guthrie and Steve Hislop. For anyone who has a fascination with military memorabilia, you’ll not be disappointed with the museum's collection and there may be the odd medal or two that you might remember from one of your own relatives. Kids will love the old schoolroom and with lots of things to do here, you can spend as little or as long as you like here. All in all, this museum has something for all the family, so, what are you waiting for?
