Graune Pet Farm & Play Centre
Review
The Graune Pet Farm & Play Centre in Cloonfad, a short drive from Ballyhaunis, is a hidden gem in every sense, perfect for family day’s out. From the moment you arrive, it's clear this is more than just a pet farm, it’s a labour of love for the Brady family. Christina and Michael Brady, along with their daughter Emma and brother, were just children themselves when the farm transitioned into a visitor attraction, having created a space that exudes warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality. The variety of animals, engaging play areas, and thoughtful touches make it an ideal destination for kids and adults alike. Each corner of the farm reflects the family’s dedication to improving every year and their hard work has truly paid off. Walking around, I couldn’t help but smile at the delightful details and joyful atmosphere. A visit here is without a doubt, an experience worth having.

The Beach Bar
Set dramatically at Aughris Head in County Sligo, The Beach Bar more than earns its place among my Iconic Pubs on the Island of Ireland. I arrived expecting a good coastal pub and left having discovered something far more memorable. Steeped in history and standing proudly along the Wild Atlantic

On the banks of the River Shannon in the ever-popular village of Shannonbridge, JJ Killeen’s has roared back to life. After a few years closed, it’s now under the stewardship of Liam Fallon, who has spared no expense renovating this gem into one of Ireland’s most iconic Irish pubs.
