East Friars Restaurant with Rooms

East Friars is an eclectic family home situated on on the banks of the River Wye in Hereford. With access to and from the river and a five minute walk to the city centre, this is a perfect overnight stop for canoers, walkers and fishermen. There is a pontoon for mooring if you arrive by river (direct access from river to the terrace) or safe off-road parking if you arrive by more conventional transport.

We offer a large family room (one queen-size plus two singles)with ensuite bathroom and views of the river, comfortable 2/4 berth caravan or bring your own tent and camp in the garden.

The house is full of books, art and (often) music. Just a place to relax, be yourself and eat great home-cooked food. Breakfast and evening meals are provided by our resident chef and are created using local produce. We are happy to provide a pack-lunch for your onward journey.

Not stopping overnight in Hereford - pull up at the pontoon for a meal / snack as you pass downstream.

We pride ourselves on being friendly and informal. Children very welcome. B+B from £80 per night, camping from £15 per person, evening meals from £12.50.
