Croxteth Hall & Country Park

Croxteth Hall and Country Park is one of Liverpool's most important heritage sites and one of “the finest working country estates in the North West”.

The park is at the heart of what was once a great country estate stretching hundreds of square miles and was the ancestral home of the Molyneux family, the Earls of Sefton.

The estate has four main attractions - The Historic Hall, Croxteth Home Farm, the Victorian Walled Garden and a 500 acre country park including Croxteth Local Nature Reserve.

Review

There are country parks dotted all over our great land, and they are all just as great as each other. But at Top 100 attractions we are looking for something a little bit more than just great. Croxteth Hall & Country Park is a fine example of those Country Parks that literally has everything to offer its visitors, from a Farm to Horse Riding; Fairground rides to a thrill seeking Jungle Parc, and plenty of picnic areas for that much needed lunch break in between all the fun. All in all, Croxteth has something different for all ages, and for those who love historic homes, then the hall is definitely worth a peruse, and steeped in so much history.
