Tucked away in the wonderfully quintessential village of Roecliffe, The Crown Inn is exactly the sort of country pub couples dream of stumbling across. Surrounded by the timeless charm of the Yorkshire countryside, and only a short drive from Harrogate, Wetherby and York, it feels perfectly placed for a peaceful escape. Back at the helm, Amanda and Karl Mainey have brought renewed warmth, polish and personality to this much loved inn, and it shows in every corner. The food has rightly earned its reputation, with beautifully prepared dishes, attentive service and a standard that never slips. While the fish is especially well known, the ever changing specials board adds even more temptation. For those staying over, the bedrooms are a real delight. Tastefully styled and wonderfully comfortable, they offer an indulgent stay without ever feeling overdone. For a relaxed and romantic Yorkshire retreat, The Crown Inn is a lovely choice indeed.
