Originally opened as a social hub for Welsh speakers, it has grown into a legendary venue that has supported emerging talent for decades. From hosting early gigs by global acts like Coldplay, Manic Street Preachers and Kasabian, to championing the next generation of artists, Clwb Ifor Bach has become Cardiff’s own answer to Liverpool’s Cavern Club. More than just a venue, it’s a cultural institution where music history is constantly being made. The team behind the Clwb also go beyond staging performances, often managing artists and helping them develop. At the time of writing, exciting plans are in motion to expand the venue further, promising even greater things to come.
