Chapel Bay Fort & Museum
Review
“The light and shade that once we sensed, the whole community condensed, into one whole familiar space, to what extent are we this place?”
History rises from the long forgotten rubble of the past, and makes a glorious comeback: to remind us about the importance of military defense through the ages, at the Chapel Bay Fort and Museum. Presenting the wonderful opportunity to get up close, but not too personal, with the largest collection of military artifacts in Wales. Situated on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at Angle, this extraordinarily unique and infinitely fascinating top attraction, is a time-capsule of British military history. Light the spark of curiosity within the heart of a youngster, or maybe even relight your own inner fire, with an exciting tour through the world of war of the ages: from a 16th century cannon, to the torpedo from a submarine, and from a cluster bomb, to an AK47! Chapel Bay Battery was built in 1891, overlooking Milford Haven, and makes a great place to meet and make new friends, and with disabled parking and The Cookhouse offering lovely, fresh snacks, it’s convenient too.
