Follow CAT’s interactive Zero Carbon Britain Trail to explore what an environmentally friendly world with reduced emissions will look like or pull on your boots and stomp up through the CAT woodland to discover breath-taking views of the Snowdonia National Park from the Quarry Trail. New for 2018 – explore the new CAT garden displays and discover what you can do to make yours wildlife friendly whilst ensuring a good crop of vegetables. Inspired to learn more about sustainability? Beautiful indeed is the setting, in which The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is situated, a haven of greenery: the Dyfi Biosphere in Mid Wales is a world-renowned eco centre. What was once a Welsh slate quarry is now a concealed world of stunning organic gardens, experimental green buildings and sustainably managed woodland habitats, just waiting to be discovered. CAT has been engaging and inspiring visitors for over 40 years, and with its green feet firmly on the ground, its reach is limitless. Suitable for all ages, little ones get to learn as they play, with an eco-adventure playground, family-friendly trails and scavenger hunts plus many more attractions. A day spent at the awesome CAT, can gently guide us on our own journey towards reducing carbon emissions.
