What a treat it was to spend the afternoon at Castlegate Tearoom. This divine little café is located in the town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire. It is well-known for their delectable cakes and excellent home-cooked meals, and you can expect to get just that! Wait until you see their selection of cakes and pastries… Your plan for a light lunch will be out the window. Their Victorian sponge cake comes highly recommended. There is plenty to space to sit whether inside or outside, with a few sofas that are perfect for a group catch up with your friends. The patio area outside is absolutely beautiful and it’s perfect to sit and enjoy views of the castle over a light lunch. This café gets packed throughout the day, but the staff are amazing; always friendly and helpful. Castlegate Tearoom offers well-priced, brilliant food with options to suit everyone. What a great find!
