Castle Oaks House Hotel & Spa
Review
Castle Oaks House Hotel & Spa’s a true hidden gem when it comes to Irish hotels. Sitting perfectly beside the River Shannon, this 18th century house is resplendent in white and as you walk through its doors, you don’t actually feel like you’ve walked into a hotel. The atmosphere in this property is one of relaxation and you truly feel at home when you’re here. With a small amount of rooms within the house and a selection of courtyard suites on offer outside, you’ll not be disappointed with your stay here. I think it also worth mentioning that if you're looking for an Irish wedding, this hotel can provide everything you need for that special day and all at an affordable price I hear. The Hotel’s only a stone's throw away from Limerick city and Counties Kerry and Clare, so you’ll never be short of things to do close by.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Having highly endorsed this hotel as one of Co. Limericks places to stay, I couldn’t not talk about how great the food is here. There are various dining options available to you during your stay, but even if you're not staying, the restaurant’s also open to non-residents. So, whether it’s dinner for two, dining for a family or even just an afternoon tea, Castle Oaks really has got their eye on the ball when it comes to hosting all of its visitors. All the eating areas within the hotel have been tastefully decorated and I’ve been told that work to renovate the hotel is always ongoing, as with this being a Georgian house, just as much care goes into being a restoration project, than it does the food. I’ve also been assured that they use where possible, the localist of produce, this is something the chefs team take seriously.

The Hunt Museum
The Hunt Museum here in Limerick is a gem that demands attention in any Irish travel guide. My second endorsement of the museum in this "Top 100 Attractions in Ireland" book comes with even more conviction after a recent visit. Unlike some museums that might carry an air of total pretentiousness,
