Carlton Riverside
Carlton Riverside is a Restaurant-with-Rooms, and occupies the second oldest building in Llanwrtyd Wells, the smallest town in Britain. It sits on the south bank of the River Irfon, a lovely crystal-clear stream flowing through the middle of the town. Parking is not a problem here, as there is a free public car park just opposite the restaurant. Carlton Riverside Restaurant is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Wales. The AA gave Carlton their award as Wales Restaurant of the Year 2007 / 2008. We have a 6 in the Good Food Guide and we feature in Hardens Restaurant Guide, Michelin, Time Out, the Guardian Best B&B Guide, the Good Hotel Guide and many other publications. The chef, Mary Ann Gilchrist, is very passionate about the use of local produce and sources as many of her ingredients as possible from local farmers and growers.
The Rooms
There are 4 comfortable bedrooms, all individually furnished to a high standard. The four rooms are all ensuite with bath and shower and we provide big fluffy towels and quality toiletries.
All the beds have pocket sprung mattresses (the best mattresses in the world) and the rooms are equipped with flat screen lcd televisions, clock radios, hairdryers and complimentary hospitality trays.
