Or make a night of it and head to the cinema room with projection. Escape to the (no ordinary) entrance hall to sit, read and recharge, or clatter the pool balls around. Brosterfield Farmhouse offers the essence of easy living. Sleep soundly in the cradle of the English countryside, lulled into slumber by the breeze through the boughs and the snuffle of the occasional fox. Brosterfield Farmhouse seats 18 as a five-bedroom option or 20 in six-bed format that includes the suite.

BROSTERFIELD COTTAGE

Brosterfield Cottage is believed to date from the late seventeenth century. It represents a detached cottage offering a complete contrast from Fern Cottage insofar as it is around half a mile from the village approached by way of a private driveway serving Brosterfield Farm and Brosterfield Hall.
The cottage enjoys outstanding open views across fields taking in Longstone Edge and the village of Wardlow. It was converted from being a farm building into its present form in 1983 and has subsequently been refurbished on a regular basis.The building is of limestone with oak stained beams to the interior.

FERN COTTAGE

A 17th century cottage of great charm, character and comfort. Standing just around the corner from the village green and, although relatively small in size, representing a very comfortable holiday home with modern facilities without compromising on its cottage atmosphere. Foolow is well known as being a small friendly village and guests at Fern Cottage certainly seem to enjoy being at “the hub” of village life.The interior has a beamed ceiling to the ground floor accommodation (mind your head!) and a very old large stone fireplace which, whilst having been largely superseded by the modern central heating adds to the atmosphere. A Belfort range is in place for those preferring a “real log fire”. The cottage is carpeted throughout.
