Blaenavon’s Heritage Railway
Review
Here at the BHR, time most certainly stands still. Hidden within the Valleys, you can enjoy a short, but atmospheric journey and with every mile, comes a different story. I’ve watched this region of Wales blossom over the past decade and it’s become a destination that cannot be overlooked anymore. The staff here at this railway, mainly volunteers, have put everything into ensuring your trip is a memorable one and this can be seen not only on the train journey itself, but in how tidy the facilities are. This finally brings me onto the price that you’ll pay for the journey that you’ll take. It’s always a hard decision on what to charge visitors, but I think this heritage railway has got their pricing spot on. A journey on this railway won’t break the bank and you’ll still have some money left over for a cuppa in their great little cafe.
