Blackwater Open Farm
Review
Perched perfectly along Ireland’s stunning East Coast, Blackwater Open Farm is one of Wexford’s finest family-friendly gems. Family owned and family run, it strikes the perfect balance between fun for children and enjoyment for adults. From the moment you arrive, you can sense the care and love poured into every corner. The animals are clearly well looked after, and there’s something magical about watching little ones interact with goats, pigs, and other furry friends. What sets this farm apart is its rare dog-friendly policy, they even have their very own canine play park, which is virtually unheard of in attractions like this. With plenty of space to roam, fresh country air, and a great little café serving excellent coffee and tasty snacks, it’s easy to spend a whole afternoon here. The welcoming family behind it all genuinely care about your visit, and that’s what makes it so special. Highly recommended!

Lobster Pot
The Lobster Pot Restaurant on the outskirts of Rosslare is one of those rare dining rooms that has become part of the fabric of this region. A true constant for many years, its reputation has been built not on fuss, but on superb food, genuine hospitality and a standard that never seems to slip. New owner Paul Behan clearly understands the responsibility of looking after such a celebrated name, and he does

Mary Barrys Bar & Restaurant
Mary Barry’s Seafood Bar & Restaurant, on the outskirts of Kilmore Quay, is a pub and dining destination I was genuinely delighted to return to after first endorsing it nine years ago. Expectations were high, but what Susie Doyle and her husband Alec have achieved here is exceptional. In my opinion, Mary Barry’s is now the finest pub in Co. Wexford, and fully deserving of our rare Iconic Status.
