Review

The Ballymac Hotel, located just a few miles from Lisburn and within easy reach of Belfast, is an outstanding choice for a stay in Northern Ireland. The Doran family has clearly taken a no-expense-spared approach to its recent refurbishment, resulting in modern, stylish, and comfortable rooms. Every detail has been carefully considered, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly, creating an experience that feels both personal and professional. One of the biggest advantages of staying here is that you avoid Belfast’s inflated hotel prices while still enjoying top-quality accommodation. Whether visiting for business or leisure, the Ballymac offers an excellent balance of comfort, convenience, and affordability. My early 2024 stay was a real pleasure, and I’d highly recommend it to others.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The Ballymac Hotel is within easy reach of Belfast and is a fantastic spot for a great meal. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the provenance of their food offering, ensuring that quality and consistency are at the heart of the experience. I liked that it’s the same menu throughout the restaurant & bar, this makes for a much more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of locals filling the seats, a sure sign of good food! During my stay, I had a truly lovely meal, which tasted fresh and came with generous portions. Whether you’re looking for a casual bite or a sit-down dinner, the Ballymac delivers excellent food in a friendly setting.
