Once upon a time, a couple from Sussex decided to quit their jobs to follow their passion. Their passion soon became a reality, now known to all as Artelium, a boutique wine estate which grows grapes in vineyards across the stunning South Downs.Nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of Sussex, Julie and Mark, the creators of this wine heaven, have made the wine culture fashionable by combining wine, Art and nature.With all wines hand harvested and made with grapes from a single vineyard, they offer great vineyard and tasting tours.The name ‘Artelium’ means a blend of ‘art’ and ‘ium’: representing a place for the study of nature. (Such as in ‘Planetarium’).Working with artisan winemakers to craft the best of English wines, they take pride in the close relationship between the growers and makers which have so far produced some outstanding award-winning wines.
