Kerry’s AquaTerra Boat Tours, based out of Knightstown on the beautiful Valentia Island, is a superb example of passion, local knowledge and genuine hospitality coming together. Husband-and-wife team Brendan and Elizabeth have created an outstanding boat tour company, and their new state-of-the-art vessel, the Skellig Bounty, also adds real comfort and style to the experience. This award-winning tour operation offers a choice of exciting trips, so I would certainly recommend visiting their website and choosing the one that really does best suit your plans. Whichever tour you eventually take, you can expect to return with a deeper understanding of the area, its people, its wildlife and the remarkable stories that have shaped this coastline for generations. Carrying just 12 passengers, much like the region’s famous Seine Fishing Boats, places are limited, so booking ahead is strongly advised. This is Valentia Island and the beautiful Co. Kerry at its very best.
