Anglesey Hawking
Ideally located in the stunning Welsh countryside, access over 1200 acres of this country estate and land. If you have ever wanted to experience walking with hawks, look no further! The surrounding countryside and woodlands are rather magical, so what are you waiting for? An experience like no other is awaiting you. Walk with a hawk for an hour and live an adventure in the grounds of Tre-Ysgawen Hall. From there, you will be able to take in the stunning gardens and grounds. The on-site clock tower restaurant has a great menu if you get hungry at all. Alternatively, you could also go to the picturesque village of Rhosgoch for a hawk walk too. Over there, there are many birds of prey which can be spotted. The homemade cakes in the cabin are to not be missed out on! *
Review
Our author was honoured to spend a couple of hours in the presence of John & Sharon of Anglesey Hawking. Honoured, because they run a truly marvellous attraction in Anglesey which they are both clearly as passionate about as they are about the birds themselves. There is incredible opportunity to befriend some amazing birds; one of which is named Sam. Sam is a Harris Hawk and was the bird of prey that our author took on his ‘hawk walk’. The walk winds through some of Anglesey's prettiest countryside; some of which is Anglesey Hawking's own land. At the end of all this beauty awaits a fantastic spread of food, sandwiches, cakes and tea, all catered for by Sharon. All in all an incredible experience which is not only worth taking part in, but well worth repeating.
