Amelia Trust Farm
This piece of haven is the perfect countryside sanctuary and they are also a registered charity. With a reputation for giving therapeutic support to vulnerable and disadvantaged people, their programs are incredible. Being in such a peaceful farm setting is truly relaxing, they have everything to put a smile on your face. There is a fantastic program available for young people who are struggling with education. These issues can be caused by so many kinds of dramas such as abuse, neglect and pre-existing conditions. Not everyone realises that there can be so many underlayers to the behaviour of someone and that is why it is so important to have such programs showing them that they are not worthless, but on the contrary, they can succeed at whatever they put their mind to. Everyone needs care and support, so the team is there to help out and make sure no one is left alone. They also have a great program for adults with learning disabilities.
The environment is super agreable too. You can sit back in the café, enjoy Woodland walks and even go animal spotting.*
Review
It is fair to say that the Vale of Glamorgan is a strong farming community within South Wales and here at Amelia Trust Farm, they open up the doors to allow you to see just how strong that community is. However, being a strong farming community isn't the only purpose of this farm park and being a social enterprise, behind the scenes, the Amelia Trust do fantastic work in helping vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Complete with wonderful woodland walks and trails, a wide selection of animals to see and pet and a great little cafe, all go to show just exactly why Amelia Trust Farm has our family fun hidden gem award. Being a registered charity, this farm relies solely on donations and its entrance fees, or quite simply the place wouldn't exist, so for every visitor they get here, it all goes to ensure that this great little attractions future, is all the more stable.

Having stayed here myself, I can personally vouch for how good the rooms are. I stayed here for a few nights and my room was not only comfortable, but the bathrooms are just as good as I’ve found in any hotel.
